Sending money
How do I send money using Bolt?
Tap Payments on the home screen, enter the amount you’d like to send, and tap Pay. You can pay friends who are on the Bolt platform or not.
For friends that already have a Bolt account, select the contact you’d like to send money to. You can then choose whether it’s a one-off, recurring, or scheduled payment. You can also add details such as notes, photos, or upload an invoice for the payee to view. Once you’re happy with the details, tap Pay at the bottom of the screen, and your friend will receive the payment.
If your friend isn’t on Bolt, you can add them to your address book by entering their bank account details, PayID, or BPAY code. Once they’re added, they’ll remain in your address book and can be selected the next time you need to send money to them.
Can I schedule a payment?
Yes, you can. You can manage scheduled payments either in your Profile or directly when making a payment to a friend.
Are there limits on how much I can send?
There are currently no specific limits on how much you can transfer using the Bolt app. However, larger transactions may be subject to additional verifications for security purposes.
